Take ~5-10 mins to capture key details about your speech

You can categorize the purpose of your speech in one of these four categories:

  1. Informative: useful information

  2. Persuasive: convincing people to change 

  3. Demonstrative: showcasing a process or a product and focus on the 'how'

  4. Entertainment: enjoyment with anecdotal stories

  5. Inspirational: motivational

  1. Write an outline/bullets (not narrative)

Practice makes perfect and you can practice in two-fold:

  1. Audio: Record just audio to nail down the tone, structure, timing, etc.

  2. Video: Movie to video to focus on body language, delivery, presence, etc.
